He underwent MESH hernioplasty at the advanced BIOMESH after reduction of the hernia.The neck of the hernia was very narrow which has high chance of strangulation leading to acute intestinal obstruction, which needs emergency surgery.

The proposed advantages of biomesh include less foreign body reaction and resultant fibrosis as compared to synthetic mesh and also one can use them in contaminated operating fields, which is a contraindication for synthetic mesh.
